Who We Are

Pine Grove Baptist Church Leesville (established in 1873) is a Traditional Southern Baptist Church located in Southern Lexington County, SC. We are affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention as well as state and local Southern Baptist entities.

What We Believe

BIBLE

The Holy Bible is the inspired and inerrant word of God and is the sole and ultimate basis for our beliefs.  The English Bible translations we utilize are those we believe are most accurate to the original language and generally and widely accepted by Evangelical Conservative Christians, such as NASB, NKJV, KJV, and ESV.

GOD

We believe in one and only one true God.  There is a trinity of persons in one being:  the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; yet there are not three Gods, but one God.

MAN/SIN

We believe in the fall of Adam and as a result, the transference of sin to all mankind.  Furthermore, we believe in the fall of human nature and the inability of man to recover himself by his own ability.

SALVATION

We believe that salvation is by God’s grace alone, through faith alone, and in Christ alone.  Salvation is God’s free gift to us but we must receive it.  Jesus Christ the Son of God lived a sinless life enabling Him to offer Himself as the perfect sacrifice for sin thus obtaining eternal salvation for those who put their trust in Him as Lord and Savior.  The Holy Spirit convicts an individual of their sin and brings them to repentance toward God through faith in Christ resulting in a transformed heart and life.  There is no salvation from sin apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
